Soil Health and the Lincoln Community Garden
May 27 @ 10:30 am – 11:30 am
What is soil health, why is it important, and how do we achieve it?
How healthy is the Lincoln Community Garden?
Julie Gillespie of Lincoln University will present a workshop at the Lincoln Envirotown Community Gardens. Julie is a PhD student in the Soil Science Department, currently researching how to connect people to our soil resource to ensure soil and food security. She has been using our community garden as her “laboratory”, and will report on her findings.
The Lincoln Envirotown Community Gardens are located on James St, on the grounds of the former Lincoln Maternity Hospital.
A gold coin donation will support the Community Gardens.
