Adventure at Mahoe Reserve – Selwyn Sustainability Trail

Sunday 10 November, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Learn more about our native plants and how animals relate.

About this Event

What plants lived in Lincoln before humans arrived?

The Mahoe Reserve is a recreation of the forest that was here. Come along to hear about the history, experience our local ecosystem and meet some of the locals who have been creating this special reserve, which is now used as an educational resource for school students and others.

A ‘nature trail’ to help visitors identify plants and how animals (including insects, birds, lizards & humans) use these plants will be set up. Many plants will be labelled, and will help you differentiate between similar looking species. This event is part of the Selwyn Sustainability Trail.

This event is free of charge and registration is not required, as you can, just come along on the day.

This event is part of the Selwyn Sustainability Trail – a series of events, workshops and activities running from 1 November – 17 November.
