Worm Farm Workshop

Saturday 7 September, 2019 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am

Come along for a gold coin donation and learn about…

Worm farming, a fun way to turn your organic waste, such as kitchen scraps, into rich fertiliser for your garden in the form of worm castings and worm tea.

Our presenter is Sharon Breakwell, who until recently was manager of the Wastebusters Trust in Ashburton. A key part of Sharon’s job was to deliver waste education programmes to schools in the Selwyn area. She is committed to giving children as much information as possible on ways of reducing the amount of waste going to landfill, whether it is through reusing, recycling, composting or worm farms.

Worms, and flower and vegetable seeds, available for purchase.
