The trap library will lend you the right type of predator control device to remove problematic pests like rats, hedgehogs, possums and stoats. We can also advise you on bait and the best location for your trap. 

The aim is to remove these predators so the birds and plants can flourish.

The Selwyn Trap Library is usually open on the last Saturday of every month at the Lincoln Farmers & Craft Market.

Registration is not required, just come along.

Celebrating Selwyns’ Vegetable Gardens

This event focuses on sharing knowledge, celebrating success, and promoting sustainable home food production in Selwyn.  This is not a competition with the emphasis on participation. Every garden tells a story, and we want to hear yours!  During our garden visits, we’ll meet with you to learn about your techniques, challenges, and successes.

  • Location: Lincoln & Rolleston area
  • Cost: Free entry (participants provide their own gardening materials)

February Working Bee at the Mahoe Native Reserve, Lincoln

Come along and help us in the restoration and maintenance of the Mahoe Native Reserve in Lincoln.

Working bees are usually on the first Sunday of every month from 2.00 pm.  Please check before attending as some months are occasionally postponed.
Entry to the Reserve is on Boundary Road, Lincoln (opposite the High School).  Contact mahoereserve@gmail.com for any further information.

Lincoln Clothes Swap 2024

Have fun swapping your pre-loved clothes for other quality clothes donated.

November 21 @ 7:00 pm 8:30 pm

Free Drop off your donations before the event to receive a ticket that gives your and one other early entry. Entry open to all from 7 pm onwards.

Donated clothes will be on display so bring your friends and make an evening of it.

Women’s, Men’s, Kid’s clothing and accessories accepted, please no undergarments. If you don’t have clothes to drop off you can still come along on the evening and help yourself to free clothes. 

VIP tickets are given to those who drop off their clothes before the event, this ticket will give you and a friend early entry to the event. 

Drop off can be arrangement in Lincoln. We also have several drop off locations and times listed below, we can be identified by our blue Lincoln Envirotown t-shirt with a fantail on it.
